Product Description: The long-snouted seahorse (Hippocampus reidi) is a species of seahorse belonging to the family Syngnathidae. They are native to the warm coastal waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and range from the southeastern United States to Brazil. Like other seahorses, long-snouted seahorses use their long snouts to suck in small prey, including tiny crustaceans and small fish. They are relatively stationary creatures, relying on their excellent camouflage and slow movements to blend into their surroundings. The male has a pouch that carries the fertilized eggs and provides nutrition until they hatch.
